Part 2

Sunlight filtered through the window, softly caressing the yellow pony's face. Her eyes opened slowly, showing the bright green of her irises. She closed them back and rolled away from the window. "Morning already...Ugh..." She pulled the purple sheet over her head to stop the sunlight from getting through, but it did not do much to help. She threw the sheet off of her and sat up, rubbing her hooves over her eyes. After a short yawn, she grabbed a small calender off the desk next to the bed. On the calender, there was a red circle on the fifth of the next month. She looked at the date today and took out a small marker, marking a red  X on the 24th, today. "Just another week..."
She made her way down to the main part of the library, which she had done the past week and a half. She looked through the window, staring into the sky, watching the clouds float by. Her brown bangs fell into her face, but she moved them away with her hoof. Her stomach growled, causing her to break her trance. "Hungry..." She looked around the library, hoping to find something to eat. Much to her expectations, there was nothing there. She called out, "Valor!" hoping to get the hawk to emerge from wherever he may be.
The hawk flew through the window, screeching. He landed on the yellow pony's back. The hawk tilted his head to look at her, then hopped off of her back and onto the table.
The yellow pony giggled. "Okay Val, go fetch us some breakfast. Oh, and if you can, bring me back something with daisies in it." She smiled. "Go! I'll take you on an awesome adventure later to make up for it!" She waved her hoof as Valor took off. She sat down next to the table and sighed. "He's going to take a while..." She looked around the many bookshelves, wondering just what to do. Her eyes stopped when they came across a peculiar-looking book in a brown leather binding. Curiosity getting the better of her, she pulled out the book and looked at the title. "One Hundred and One Mystical Artifacts?" She glanced around the library, making sure no one was near, before bringing the book to her table and opening it up to the first page. "Dear reader," she read aloud from the page, "if you're reading this, you must be a very superstitious or adventurous pony. This book is not for the faint of heart...Yeah, yeah let's just get to the artifacts." She turned to the next page. "Mystical Artifact Number One, the Alicorn Amulet." Her eyes widened as she read the description of the amulet. "This is just like the Alicorn Amulet that Trixie had on..." She looked further down and saw "Location: Locked away." That's odd, she thought, making sure her eyes were correct. This book looks ancient, how could it have information that was updated just recently. She turned to the next page. "The All-Knowing Circlet. This is a small circlet that, when worn, grants the wearer access to all knowledge ever recorded. While worn, however, it slowly corrupts the wearer with dark magic, eventually causing the wearer to become completely evil and insane." She shivered. "Location: Destroyed. After being found by Princess Celestia, Celestia, Cadence, and Luna combined their efforts to destroy the circlet." The yellow pony rubbed her eyes before reading over the location again. "This is getting weirder..." She flipped through the book, stopping on a page that held the book itself. "This book updates itself using an advanced magic that connects it to the various artifacts listed within. Location: Ponyville Library, in the hooves of one 'Casey Lighthoof'..." She backed away from the book. How...How can it know my name?
